PALANQUIN SPICED TEA is a blend of quality tea mixed with freshly ground spices: cinnamon, ginger, cloves, black pepper and cardamom. Spiced Tea is also at times referred to as masala tea, masala chai or just chai.
Most people, outside of the Asian community, were unfamiliar with spiced tea because the traditional method involved mixing the ingredients and using pots, pans and brewing over a stove. Most importantly, it involved valuable time, taking as long as 15-30 minutes to make. This remained incompatible to the fast moving pace of modern life styles.
That is until Palanquin made this delicious beverage both convenient and obtainable by putting spiced tea in tea bags. Its regular purchase among the Asian community confirms the authenticity of its flavour, yet it is quickly becoming very popular with African, Afro-Caribbean and European communities. Additionally there is increasing trade from Canada and USA, where spiced tea is steadily growing in reputation.
Palanquin tea is available at multi-national (Tesco Stores, Sommerfields, Kwik Save), and delivered by distributors to local Asian shops, Palanquin Spiced Tea is available in boxes of 40’s, 80’s.
